Doctor Tony Carusone
Doctor Tony Carusone graduated from New York Chiropractic College in 1988, and became a Board Certified Chiropractic Orthopedist in 1997 after a rigorous three and a half year course of study. After his Board Certification, he took the Board Certification program in Chiropractic Rehabilitation given by what was then known as Los Angeles Chiropractic College. He also has studied Craniosacral Therapy (developed by Dr. John Upledger) since 1987 and for several years was a Teaching Assistant. Dr. Carusone is an avid student of many forms of rehabilitation, developing individually tailored programs of exercise for many of his patients based on contemporary exercise concepts, martial arts and yoga. All programs are targeted to specific muscles or functions of the body after an assessment of potential movement pattern dysfunctions. Addressing symptoms is important, but long lasting relief from the timely identification and treatment of root causes is so much more rewarding.
Personally, Dr. Carusone has studied various Martial Arts for over 30 years, presently studying Chen Style Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Gong. He also is a committed student of guitar and music theory, and of course the study of the human body, particularly from a functional perspective, continues to be a lifelong passion.
